Western Approaches IPL je světlé spodně kvašené silné pivo typu India Pale Lager. Harmonicky snoubí rysy klasického ležáku i svrchně kvašeného piva typu IPA.

500ml can from Beers of Europe. Pours clear gold with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is citrus (grapefruit, orange), grassy, and malt. Taste is light sweet, citrus fruits, grass. Light to medium bitter finish. Light bodied. Pretty underwhelming, especially for Vinohradsky.

Can from HoTM. It pours clear yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma fragrant, floral, grassy, herbal, decent hit of tangy, citrus, grapefruit and tangerine. The taste is firmly dry, nice hit of lingering bitterness, zingy citrus, grapefruit, pomelo, tangerine, touch of marmalade, grassy, pine needles, floral accents, peppery spice bread and biscuit. Finish is bitter - dry - citrus peel. Medium body and average carbonation. Works well. Good lager base and hit of hops.

500ml can from Pien. Smooth, sweet malty and slightly buttery with some crisp grainy notes, grassy hops, pine, resin, grapefruit and bitterness. Interesting combination of Czech lager body and US hops. Works surprisingly well.

(C, 0.5 l - canned on 10.02.2021 - BB 08-08-2021, from a supermarket, 20210310) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, pine, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, pine, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, hoppy and bitter. A pleasant hoppy brew that was a bit too sweet.
