One of our favourite ‘Beer People’ Chris Coulson, put us in touch with fruity brewing behemoths North Brewing Co. Brains were picked, recipes were devised, summer rolls were eaten.
Double R Diner is all about that cherry, so we threw in a casual 720kg of sweet cherries and sour Morello cherries along with the finest Cornish sea salt from Brewer Ben’s Cornwall. Fermented with London Fog, a damn fine yeast. Wheat and oats bring The Body to proceedings, and milk sugar* keeps everything running smoothly.
The beauty of collaboration leading us to a place both wonderful & strange.

10/III/20 - 44cl can @ home, BB: 3/I/20, canned: 3/IX/19 (2020-252) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the can!
Clear dark red ruby beer, small aery irregular pink head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: lots and lots of diacetyl, very buttery, fruity, dry, some tannins? MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, red fruits, bit sweet, soft bitterness, diacetyl. Aftertaste: very fruity, dry, quite some tannins, red fruits, grapeskin, decent despite the diacetyl.

440ml can. Vibrant blood red with a small pink head. Aroma of cherries. Taste of sweet and sour cherries, creamy lactose is quite prominent, light saltiness. Medium bodied. Not quite as intense as I’d hoped but it’s not bad.

Can. Hazy deep cherry red beer, small pink head. Palate is light and mildly dry, reasonable minerally carbonation. Decent dark cherry. Little cherry soda and a mild savoury tang. Nice enough but lacks the lovely intensity of some of the other so- called flavoured Gose’s I’ve had recently. Good then but needs to be turned up to 11.

Can on the IMBC Express, thanks to Fergus, 03/10/19. Cherry red with a decent light crimson cap. Nose is tangy cherries, light smoke, balsa wood, stoned fruits. Taste comprises cherry stones, straw, red berry fruits, hay bale. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modest soured edge. Not bad.

Can shared on the train to imbc 2019. A hazed plummy red cherry coloured pour with a lasting pink head. Aroma is salted cherry. Yogurt, sour milk,. Flavour is composed of Salted, tangy cherry, yogurt funk, raspberry.. Palaate is light tang, highish carbonation. Not that vibrant.

Keg at the Experiment - Hackney. Pours clear deep reddish purple with a creamy, pink head. Nice juicy berries, very mellow tartness. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Finishes with fresh, juicy cherries, maybe some raspberries too, soft seedy bitterness. Nice true cherry character. Juicy for sure. Fun.
