33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is a bit funky, smells of a beginning infection, caramel, sweet nuts, toffee, light fruity. Flavour is light to medium sweet, malty, caramel, nuts, light fruity, light sour, clearly infected, lemon, bitter finish. Light bodied. Spoiled by the infection, but don’t think it was world-shocking otherwise.

0.33 l bottle at ’Joost’, bottled in October 2015 (and over the bb date). Fruity-grassy, a little sourish and slightly spicy aroma of caramel, prickly pear, grapefruit and hints of rhubarb. Sweetish, slightly sourish, fruity and slightly grassy taste of caramel, some orange, grapefruit and hints of rhubarb, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice, but I guess there is some sort of infection.

(Draught at Butcher’s Tears, Amsterdam, 19 Feb 2016) Amber colour with lasting, frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of toffee, caramel, orange marmalade and candy. Malty, slightly fruity taste with toffee, caramel, orange marmalade and slightly perfumy flavours. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced and quite tasty. Quite enjoyable.

33cl bottle @ home. Mostly clear, light amber color. White head, short retention. Aroma’s of bready malts, sweet fruits, light caramel. A bit weaker retronasal, a bit fruity, light caramel, light citrus. Flavor is light sweet and light bitter, with a light fruity sourness. Body is light, but not thin at all. Finishes light dry, moderate (herbal) bitter. Quite nice actually.
