Tym razem sięgamy po Catharina Sour - nowofalowy styl kwaśny rodem z Brazylii - o krótkiej ale pełnej sukcesów historii. Catharina Sour to nieco mocniejsza wersja Berliner Weisse - koniecznie z dodatkiem tropikalnego owocu. Nazwa pochodzi od brazylijskiego stanu Santa Catarina - to tam w 2015 roku piwowarzy domowi i rzemieślnicy uwarzyli pierwsze piwa w tym stylu, poszukując czegoś orzeźwiającego na gorące dni. Wkrótce moda na lekki, owocowy kwas opanowała większość Brazyliii. Catharina Sour jako nowy styl piwa znalazł się też niedawno w katalogu BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program).
Kwas Xy - do naszej interpretacji użyliśmy 15% dodatku przecieru z marakui, a całość zakwasiliśmy bakteriami kwasu mlekowego do poziomu 3,4 pH.
A new wave style of beer with Brasilian origins. It’s an extended version of Berliner Weisse with the addition of tropical juice. In our interpretation, we’ve used a passionfruit puree (15% of the beer) and it has been acidified with lactic acid bacteria to 3,4 pH. PINTA Xy – make yourself feel like at Copacabana!

Clear light pale blond beer, creamy white head, stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, bready, caramel, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sourish, refreshing, lime and lemon, fruity. Aftertaste: passion fruit, funky touch, refreshing, lemony, good!

50 cl bottle. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Tart fruity aroma with lemons, passionfruit, and lactic notes. The taste is light sour. Medium body. Tart fruity finish with lingering lemons and tropical fruits. Nice.

Can, medium creamy head, cloudy and quite deep orange colour, passion fruit, lacto, apricot, medium strong tartness, a touch salty, bone dry. Amazingly refreshing.

Bottled@Sportsoffice, Vaasa. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral, citrus, some mild spicy tones with a wee bit of tartness. Flavour is citrus, some tartness, mild fruits as well as some slight yeasty tones. Very refreshing.

Tap at Zil verne. Thin body, med-low carbonation. Med-high sourness, combo fruity and lacto, but overall very clean. Light tartness and hint of minerals. Lots of passionfruit in flavour, which is basically the only thing coming through. Singledimensional, kinda boring, but okay.
