(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, dark amber with a creamy, off-white head leaving some lacework. Very neutral aroma - perhaps a whiff of malt. Rather light in body, vague notes of caramel while the oranges manifest themselves with quite some sourness. 030107

Bottled. Copper/amber coloured, mediumsized, longlasting creamy head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with strong orange coming along. The orange fits the aroma like a glove. Flavour is fruity and hoppy, minor hints of cooked vegetables and grain. Very different aroma and flavour in this one. Smooth and wellbalanced. One of the more positive surprises lately.

Bottle. Very nice aroma. Hoppy and fruity, some orange. Almost clear brown/orange colour. Small creamy head. Flavour is also nice, creamy and orangy. Seems quite malty too. Orange aftertaste, quite citric.

An amber beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is sweet and slightly hoppy, while the flavor is sweet hoppy with slight notes of caramel, leading to a dry end.

Cask @ County Hotel (JDW), Ashford. Chestnut in colour, slightly acidic/sour on nose, some chocolate malt. Sweet malt in mouth with a drying hoppy finish. Should be a good balance, but doesn’t quite pull it off. Not as good as the sum of its parts

Fuggle aroma(?), slight honey less dusty than other bottle conditioned english ales. Orange copper colouration, low creamy head. Hop citrus flavors- lemons oranges, good balance to grainy malt body. slightly fizzy. Nice.

Dark amber with small head that shrinks to an unimpressive lacing - yeasty aroma, with hints of hops and orange peel - very low carbonation - unspectacular, but acceptable flavor of a bitter - quite bready at first, making way for the subtle orange flavor and an increasing hop profile, leading to the bitter, citrus finish - starts malty and finishes rather clean - nothing amazing, but a well-constructed ale.

Bottled (BB 04/2005)
Dark amber color with small steady and creamy off-white head. Aroma has burned malt, wood, citron and toffee. Medium-bodied with toffee and orange flavor and hop bitterness. Unique but kind of unbalanced ale.
