Cask at The Penny Black, JDW, Bicester 17-06-07 poured a copper colour, gloriously sweet with some fruit struggling through. This a wonderful smooth easy drinking beer that I’m suprised is higher rated, I loved it, only the fact that it is a bit one dimensional lets it down otherwise it’s a corker.

Cask handpull at Pommeler’s Rest, JDW, Tower Bridge. Copper with lasting off white head. No offence, but this could be a strong bitter from anyone in the UK. Decent heat from the alcohol, but hop profile is very English. Earthy. Heat and nice hop on finish

Amber color. Light aroma, with some fruits. Simple but very refreshing, with a hint of apples; ends dry and with a medium-high bitterness.

Cask. Almost clear copper colour. The flavour is quite subtle, slightly citric and yeasty. Good standard bitter.

(On tap - cask) Clear, amber golden with no head. Almost flat. Sweetish, nutty nose. Medium-bodied with sweet caramel and nuts. Very subdued bitterness. A beer of high drinkability. 210506

[Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen] A hazy orange beer with a small orange head. The aroma is very light - too light for me - what is there is sweet and hoppy. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy - from a weird hop sort - it gives it a medical notes, as well as hints of citrus. The end is dry hoppy and bitter - but still from this weird hop sort. Not my hop sort!

On Cask. Appearance, Light orange/red, with some amber. Partial clouding. Aroma. Juicy and malty. Begins very sweet and somewhat watery. Like a mix of sweet malt and apple/lemon/cherry juice. Quite interesting and not bitter at all. I will have to try again as this was served at about 65 degrees and I got the feeling this was old. Not strong no matter which way you look at it. Finishes sweet and watery with a slight dry nutty old flavor.
