Pours clear copper. Big white head. Smell is weak. Taste is bit metallic, mild maltyness, bitter, creamy aroma, caramel , mild earth. Very mild spiced. Rather dry. Nice.

Keg @ Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2016. Crisp tasting and brown in colour as you might expect. Has some darker malts on its taste, which are tasty, some hops and a light bitterness.

Bottle split on the return from Cotteridge convention, 24/01/15. (Drunken rate) Amber coloured pour with a light haze anf a sticky white head. Aroma is light caramel nutty brown malts, little mineral. Flavour is composed of medium toast, nutty malts, little caramel. Nice layered malt profile. Pretty good stuff.

Keg @ Birmingham Beer Bash 2015. Pours murky brown with a grainy hop aroma. Taste is big and vibrant with roasted elements merging with a nice dried fruit sweetness. Nice.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Hazy amber/brown body with a thin off-white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine, earth and orange peel. Flavour of blood orange, bitter citrus and caramel. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Nice fizz. It’s not balanced or well rounded, but it’s nice to try a hoppy Brown Ale. Good beer.

Bottle from Beermoth, Northern Quarter, Manchester, Saturday 17th consumed Sunday 18th April 2015 Reddy brown with an off-white filmy head. Cocoa most prominent on the nose with a little hop and malt. Very hoppy in mouth, buzzy bitterness across the tongue, fresh green, clean hops. Soft and pleasant carbonation and nice mouthfeel. A little of the cocoa also shows in mouth, but overall a damn good hoppy Brown Ale that leads to a few hoppy burps . A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7
