Very hazy gold beer, big white head. Palate is light and dry and airy. Minerally freshness. Mild dry tangy fruits. Whisper of smoke. Dry finish. Somewhat over carbnonated and clunky.

500ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Fruity aroma has notes of banana, lemon, a spicy yeasty touch. Taste is fresh, fruity, banana, lemon, some clove, some spicy yeast. A bit light on the malty side - not really watery, but somehow split into two-thirds of neutral "substance" and just one-third tasty "form".

Bottle at home from bristol beer factory online. Cloudy orange with a thin white head. I intentially shook up the yeast in the bottle. Subdued clove yeast aroma. English hard water character. A little chalky. Earthy Nobel hop character. A pleasant drinker, but falls short of its German ancesters.

Shared 500ml bottle at The Queens Head, St Pancras. Firm and lasting white foamy head. Copper coloured body, almost clear. Rather inviting smell of citrus and wheat. Tart and sweet taste of fruits added by a spicy touch. Dry, bittersweet fruity endnotes. Decent (London, 26.11.2012).
