On cask at Euston Tap. Orange gold with a slight haze and thick beige head. Wheat beer estery aroma. Juicy in the mouth with rose petal and peach flavours. Quite an intense perfumed hefe. Juicyness is a surprise. Some hop sting on finish. Really interesting. Bit bizarre. Some green apple. Certainly not dull though. Odd hefe

Cask at the Euston Tap. Cloudy gold pour with a super dense, white cream head. Nice banana and clove on the nose with some wheaty notes. Flavor is mildly sweet with some tartness, perhaps lemon, light yeast and spice. Medium in body, chewy and extremely smooth. Finishes with pleasant yeast notes, popcorn and lighter fruits. Pretty nice beer.

Bottle bought from the brewery’s stall at the Bristol Christmas market. Hazy gold in colour with a big, billowy white head. Lemiony, citrus aroma with some sweetness and grain. Easy, light drinking, with plenty more citrus, a touch of banana and spice and a dryish finish. An enjoyable English take on the style.

Bottle that I picked up from Vale Brewery shop, Brill Buckinghamshire, 09.10.10 consumed 13.10.10. Pours lemony moving towards yellow, slight haze. Aroma is wheaty but its soft, there is a touch of banana but not too much. Soft in the mouth, tangy, lemony, wheaty. I quite like the fact that this is lacking in the carbonation stakes as it doesn’t detract at all. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

@ Royal Oak, Twerton. Cloudy tan. Full of bananas and phenols. Sweet start, with hints of tartness late. You get sugary bananas in there. The body misses the carbonation you’d otherwise normally find in a hefe, had it not been on cask.
