bright golden color, huge frothy head, really nice lacing, and carbonation. grassy grainy aroma. flavour is malty, grainy, and there is a booziness in the finish, along with quite a bit of bitterness. meh, i’m not loving this.

Bière trouvée chez Leclerc, en plein de mois de décembre, pas super adapté pour une édition de printemps. nez herbal, sur le houblon. Bouche amère mais notes désagréables, rien de terrible.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Dec 20. Brought by me. Pours a misty gold, good frothy white head. Aroma is gently sweet, yeasty, spiced. Taste presents a nicely sweet farmhouse blonde character, some curious herbal moments, but generally nicely presented. Much more developed than the standard 3 monts.

2004 vintage. Dark amber color, steady frothy head. Malty biscuit aroma. Slightly bitter flavor. Malt and cookies (Verkade Mariakaakjes, for the experts). Refreshing, a bit on the sweet side maybe. Medium bodied. Good beer!

29/VIII/18 - 75cl bottle, shared with KyotoLefty @ home - BB: 24/IV/19 (2018-1204) Thanks to KyotoLefty for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark blond to orange beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, sugary, some grains, hint of marzipan, pretty boring. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, malty, quite some banana, pretty sugary. Aftertaste: slightly sourish, sweet, overripe banana.

From old tasting notes. Brilliant orange gold color topped by a huge rocky beige head. Sharp, assertive malt nose. Sweet, winey malt flavor has a complex fruity character. Dryish champagne-like finish is long and tasty. Very nice indeed.
