Kerberos is the Greek name for the three-headed hellhound that guarded the gates of the underworld, making it more than worthy of protecting the contents of this bottle. We used the finest imported Pilsner malt and Belgian candi sugar to give this beer its’ light malt flavor and color, accented by the complex flavors and aromas imparted by our unique yeast strain.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy golden orangey color ale with a large foamy head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with faint ester. Taste is overly sweet with some cloying notes and very faint fruity ester with no spicy yeast that I usually associate with the style. Body is full with limited filtration with some average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Lack of balance overall and somewhat overly sweet.

Bottle, 12oz. It pours a next to clear, golden body under a small, white head. Some banana and a little hops and spices on the nose. Some alcohol evident too. Banana, citrus, some spicey notes and pale malts in the mouth. Quite warm, full-bodied and dry, yet with a sweet impression. Bitter finish. A bit on the sweet side, but I liked it quite a lot. Nice bitterness. (090430)

Rerate from cute little 7 oz. bottle. Pours pretty similar, similar aromas. Flavor is still pretty sweet, but seems to come together much better. It’s not an award winner in my book, but much better than before. Score raised from 2.7 to 3.2.
Bottle. Dumpy looking gold body with a thin film of a head. Aromas aren’t very good... some apricot, apples and honey is about it. Flavor is about the same with a couple of new additions: alcohol and dusty grains. Mouthfeel is pretty sticky and finish is sweet fruitiness and alcoholic warmth.

Poured out of a 7oz bottle clear gold with thin off white head. The aroma is pretty full with apples mixing with honey, spice, prunes and raisins. The taste is much the same with sweet malts and candi sugar to go along with apples, prunes, a touch of black pepper, spices and yeast. It ends sweet with lots of apple, honey and a bit of yeast lingering into the after taste.

courtesy of ibrew2or3 pours golden, thin white head. Aroma, sweet, grainy, yeasty. Taste, thick mouthfeel, alcohol, fruity, light malt profile with some hops and esters. Medium body, some peach like fruits coupled with candi sugar. Feels weak for a trippel.

7 oz. bottle from the 10 pack mixer. Pours a hazy yellow golden with a small white head that quickly diminishes quickly. The aroma is clove, banana, coriander and yeast. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. Thin mouthfeel with a bitter citrus taste with apple and banana. A decent abbey tripel from Flying Dog.
