Can 0,5ltr: Clear amber coloured brew with almost no foamy head. Sweet of taste and the beer drinks smoothly away. The beer with he oldest trademark, go independt again in Burton, please.

Bottle from Asda Llandudno. Color: Clear orangish golden, off-white head. Aroma: Floral hop. Taste: Floral hop, malty backbone, hints of biscuits. Light hints of caramel. Long lasting hoppy and very dry bitterish finish. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate sweet and bitter. Ok.

500ml bottle; BBE August 2024, drank at home on 21st December 2023. Clean and clear amber body, white crown. Malty nose and taste, sweetish caramel with a slight fruity hop undertone. Surprised it's average score is so low as it's a decent traditional beer, even if it's been changed a few times over the years.

Bottle from Asda. Clear amber body with an off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of bread, earth and caramel. Flavour of berries, toast and grassy hops. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Very ‘British beer’ tasting.

Bottle from Asda, Dyce. It pours clear brown with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet and caramel vibes, brown bread, digestive biscuits and a touch of nuttiness. The taste is not hugely different than the snout tbh... subdued, bitter - sweet, brown bread, nuttiness, digestives, caramel, cheap own brand supermarket cola and malt loaf with something almost chemically in the mix. Finish is short and dryish. Light - average body and moderate carbonation. Fairly bland stuff, but I didn't have a problem drinking the whole bottle.

Bottle from Asda, High Wycombe. Clear amber with a lasting white head and a light fizz. Cardboard and minerals to the fore. There's some pleasant sweet malty caramel behind which suggests that this could be an average bitter if it hadn't been (as I suspect) pasteurised to death. In its current state though it's poor.

Bottle from Asda, Omagh. Appearance - amber and slightly clear. Off-white head. Nose - toffee, raisin and brown bread. Taste - chewy biscuit and toffee. Palate - medium bodied, chewy texture. Light roast on the finish. Overall - yeah, good example of the style.
