Bottle: Poured a clear deep amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized sugar and light toffee notes with subtle fruity ester are quite interesting. Taste is also a great mix between some caramelized sugar and toffee while retaining a good balance of sweetness with some light subtle fruity ester. Body is about average with good carbonation. Easily drinkable winter warmer style beer with just enough complexity.

Granville 12-bottle mixer pack at The Beer Store. Pours a clean copper colour with a big frothy off-white head, great retention and lots of dirty lace. Sweet and spicy nose with caramel, chocolate, grass and hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and nuts. Nice, mildly creamy mouthfeel. Mostly chocolate taste with the malt, light alcohol and a light nutty finish. Was not expecting chocolate in this one, but must admit this mixes well with the spices. Quite interesting.

Canette 473ml.

Surprisingly decent for Granville. Stong aromas of both vanilla and cocoa. Pours copper, medium to high carbonation though a little high for style. Taste has mild bitterness and sourness. A chalk-like finish to this. A little tinny also, but had this in a tall can.

This ale poured a deep amber colour with a quick living, soapy, white coloured head. Scents include caramel, bread and sweet grass. First sip was smooth and malty with flavours of brown sugar and caramel with a small amount of milk chocolate. finish is really malty with light chocolate flavours lingering.

355ml bottle, thanks to Robert C. Pours amber with steady bubbles and a nicely proportioned head. The nose has honey coated cereal. The taste has more honey and cereal with some sultanas. The palate is medium bodied with a creamy texture and a clean finish. Overall, very balanced and drinkable.
