Keg at the brewery, 5/4/19. Clear copper, large creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of toasted grain, mild citrus. Taste is citrus, grain, white bread. Medium bodied, mild bitterness. Crushable.

Bottle. Pours rich reddish amber with a large beige creamy head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is caramel and a bit of grass, flavor about the same. Medium sweet, a touch of bitterness. Medium body. Drinkable, but nothing special.

Bottle. Pours a darker copper color with small white head and very faint lacing. Aromas of bread and sweet caramel. Taste is similar; caramel, yeast, and a bit hops. Medium bodied with a dry finish. Nothing spectacular here.

Pours a reddish-golden yellow, with thin head. Strong, floral aroma. Flavor is grassy, malty and sweet, with a bit of a mineral aftertaste.

Bottle from the sampler pack pours hazy orange with a thin white head, spotty lacing. Aroma is full of bready malts. Flavor is sweet toast and bread with a mild citrus finish.

Single 12 oz. bottle, $1.50 @ Woodman’s. Pretty bright Irish red pour, just a few tiny floaties suspended with little bubble action, but a light, clingy head. Some slurry or yeast in the bottom of the bottle. Not much aroma, just a light caramel malt smell. Taste is okay, some toasty grains with a little peat, and maybe a bit too sweet for my palate. Nothing off about it,I’m just not that into it.

Bottle from Festival Foods. The beer is a clear amber-gold color with a medium ivory white head that diminishes steadily. Spotty lacing. Grainy malt and fruit in the nose. Light body with a fruity character and flavors of caramel malt, crackers and mild hops. The finish is short and malty with a fruit aftertaste. Just average overall.

12 oz bottle sent to me by my 2009 winter Secret Santa. Bottled on OCT notched on the label. Pour is orange copper amber with a nicely formed two inch egg white head. Patchy lacing lines the top of the glass throughout. Aroma of nicely soft semi-sweet caramel maltiness. Light grassy spiciness and pepper behind that. Aroma is one dimensional in the malt, but is so natural and clean that it overcomes this. Taste is a bit sharply caramel and apple fruit sweetness, with the mineral grass and grain picking up midway through and carrying through to the long dry finish. Some clove notes detectable in the aftertaste. Palate is medium to thin bodied, normal carbonation and the clean dry finish. Nice straight forward drinkable beer, thanks Santa.

Draft at OF. Murky orange-brown, maybe a hint of amber. Some amber malt nuances, relatively middle of the road. Soapy, minute hop balance. Medium body, overall just pretty unimpressively standard. Sweet and certainly malt centered.
