Saison pays tribute to the flavours of Brixton Market, which inspires and influences us both. It's an exuberant and refreshing brew - a bit exotic and a bit traditional, packed with spicy, fruity flavours and aromas. A classic farmhouse ale infused with Jamaican Sorrel and Japanese Green Tea.

Bottle from Eebria Bermondsey and drunk at home. Gold slight haze lasting white head. Saison aroma. Saison flavour. Dryish in the mouth. Lots of fruit. Very good I thought, such good fruity tropical fruit flavour. Good citrus finish. Lovely.

Bottle. Market Row Wines, Brixton Market. Cloudy, dark gold. Thin, foamy, white head. Nose has fairly classic saison notes. A bit bready and estery. Taste has some leafy bitterness. Foamy mouthfeel. A tad thin. Watery herb on the finish.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the London Brewers’ Market (I think). Pours a mostly clear, bright gold with a voluminous white head. Pleasant, classic saison aroma with notes of flaked wheat, lemon peel, light Belgian yeast, straw. Light sweet flavour with nicely balanced dry wheat, further citrus accents, hay, faint grass, sourdough bread. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Nicely balanced in the finish, with further wheat, lemon peel, mild doughy notes, mellow bitterness. Overall this is an excellent, easy-drinking saison. You really don’t get any of the ’exotic’ ingredients, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Possibly the best beer I have had by Brixton. Great stuff.
