330mL bottle, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has light-to-moderate peated malt, with a soft bready malt base. Flavour is much the same, with a light biscuity malt base serving up a foundation for the moderate peated character. Light-bodied, with low residual sweetness. Certainly not a peak example of the style, but it’s clean and well-brewed.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, best before January 2026. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, fairly smoky aroma of smoked ham, some ash and a touch of grains. Slightly sweet, gently bitter, fairly smoky and a bit fruity-floral taste of smoked ham, grains, some ash and traces of lemon peel, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice Rauchbier, very well-balanced.

Bottle at the fan shop in Bamberg. Sat outside in the rain. Clear dark gold beer thin off white head. Smoke on the aroma. Smoke all way through. a bit more Smoke than schlenkerla lager but this is more of z bonfire Smoke than bacon smoke. A wood bbq on the beach. Yes I see it now. Anyway it's lovely.

Clear orange blond beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, slightly smoky touch, nice stuff! MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, a little bitter. Aftertaste: grains, hay, cow fodder.

Clear golden, white foam. Light bready, a bit citrussy, lovely smoky aroma. Great Rauchbier.

Smooth mild, soft grainy with a nice light smoke getting a bit more intense. Nice round, very soft, mild with a nice soft peated back.
