Bedaard heeft 13 maanden houtrijping gehad wat resulteert in een droog, fruitig en licht zuur bier dat verrassend zacht is qua smaak. In de voorgrond proef je het fruitige van de blauwe bes, in de afdronk proef je het geroosterde mout samen met de harsigheid van de dennen. In de geur ruik je aroma’s van koffie, gebrande mout met daaronder een fruitige laagje van blauwe bes en houtige toetsen van kokos en vanille. Het bier is erg toegankelijk voor een donker bier en heeft een laag alcoholpercentage.

From tap at Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht. Roasty and funky aroma with blueberries, hint of cold coffee. Tart and mild sour with a dry finish. Light to medium body. Nice blend of Stout-related flavours and wild ale.

Cuivre, col fin blanc-cassé.
Arôme au nez délicat - pas mal de malts, grillé, chocolat noir amer, léger boisé.
Palais présente un bon caractère de stout avec un retrait léger de pin, de grillé et chocolaté avec par dessus une fine pellicule d'acidité signature de Nevel - cela passe très bien tout en restant subtile.

Brune foncée, col fin léger blanc-cassé.
Arôme est plaisant - de suite le fait que Nevel brille dans la maîtrise de ces styles ne me surprend pas/plus. Rétro plaisant de fruits noirs, caramel, léger grillé, funk avec ici aussi un côté un peu oud bruin.
Palais oscille ver sun rappel de vielle brune, petite touche 'sour' avec une pointe de fumé, fruits sur des baies sauvages et une effervescence moyenne-faible qui permet de bien ressentir tout le mélange. Je retrouve des notes fruitées de baies rouges et myrtilles et un fini grillé qui perdure tout au long.

Small cream head over dark reddish brown beer. Sourish nose with lactic acid, red fruit, old oak, mole sauce, vinous. Chocolate, dark and with cherry ganache; pralines with kirsch. Finish has a harsh woody bitterness. Pretty well-bodied, soft carbonation, slick. Decent. Would be really smashing without the bitter finish.

Little cloudy brown beer, creamy beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, floral, cow fodder, little funky, nice roast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: little soapy, bitter touch, soft roast, bit soapy, bit oxidized, nice. Aftertaste: bitter, fruity touch, dried fruits, more oxidation, caramel, yeasty finish.

Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Fruity, roasted malt, blueberry, wild yeast funk. Taste: Fruity blueberry, notes of roasted malt and coffee, hints of pine, wood, subtle wild yeast funk. Medium to just over medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate sour, light bitter and sweet. Nice complexity and balance. Very nice.

Bottle at home, black beer, small head. Aroma is tart/sour, berries, blueberries, fruit, roast, malt, some coffee. Taste is the same, coffee, fruit, light pine/resin, oak. very nice.

Bottle. Almost black, haze of purple. Roast and blueberries in the ar9ma. Hint of tobacco. Malty yet dry flavor with soft roast and lots of blueberries. Hint of oak. Very tasty.
