Bottle. Pours a hazy brown colour with a thin beige head, light malt aroma, the taste is medium bitterness with a dry bitter finish.

Bottle. Cloudy dark orange/copper with a really tiny white head. Come on now, this is not how an Alt is supposed to look like! Aroma of grains, caramel and herbal hops. Taste of caramel, nuts, herbs, toffee, a hint of milk chocolate and some stone and citrus fruits. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Ok and enjoyable but Düsseldorf doesn’t need to be afraid set.

Bottle coming from Kornwestheim, Heinrich 3000, best before 01/24. Average altbier, not my favourite, rather watery, light body, note of dry malt, metalic, discreet touch of toffee, classical bitterness, a bit boring, refreshing after a walk in the Lavaux. 20.04.24

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is bready malt with caramel, hay, notes of ripe fruits. Picking up a hint of apricot. Flavour is mildly sweetish with a light bitterness. Medium body. Very nice.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home listening to ByteFM and warming up a homemade Chicken Dhansak plus making a Spicy Rice and Samosas and Nan Bread Wednesday 22nd January 2025. Pours murky amber with a head that rapidly departed. Malty, a little bread and with some cereal, a little bit of sweetness a touch of caramel, some graininess. Good without ever wowing.

Bottle. Beer Stop Dronfield. Pretty murky amber colour. Slim but dense creamy white foam. Not particularly a good looking bev. Nose has some crusty bread and notes of vine fruit. Behind that there’s a weird metallic thing happening. Taste is ok though. Malty sweet and some twang of fruit bitterness. Decent mouthfeel too. Overall though I’m wondering if this is a bit wonky. It looks dodgy and surely it’s not supposed to smell metallic.

Okay for the style. Mostly true, but I think this one is a bit aged for it to be great. Slightly sharp and dry and musty. Sterk ams
