On tap at 5e Baron, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings reveals plenty of dark chocolate and medium roasted malt. Flavour is very rich, with intense roasted malt and a heap of bitter dark chocolate, almost like they melted a 99% dark chocolate bar in here. There's little residual sweetness, not a light of cocoa bitterness. Rich and oily palate. As with all the BIB versions I've tried, this is different/unique, and one of the better ones. Good, though a bit too harsh and jagged to quite be “excellent”.

Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt with huge black chocolate notes is quite nice. Taste is mix of roasted malt with some huge black chocolate notes with hints of residual sugar notes and subtle vanilla notes. Body is full with good carbonation and no perceptible alcohol notes. Very enjoyable stout with black cholate really standing out.

Olfactif aux accents de torréfaction rappelant les biscuits gaufrés, le café fraîchement moulu et le chocolat noir à haut pourcentage de cacao. Un léger sucré malté rappelle le chocolat au lait. Un soupçon d'esters fruités rappelle les pruneaux. Le visuel présente un liquide noir et opaque, couvert d'une petite mousse bien dense qui s'attarde longuement en laissant un filet permanent de couleur moka. Les parois du verre se couvrent d'un magnifique mélange de dentelle et de jambes. L'entrée de bouche est bien torréfiée, pleinement sucrée avec des notes de brownies au chocolat, du fudge fondant et une amertume franche en finale, alliant torréfaction et éléments de conifères résineux. L'équilibre des saveurs est parfait. L'alcool est très bien intégré et demeure quasi imperceptible. La finale est plutôt sèche avec un petit soubresaut de sucre résiduel. Les houblons sont bien perçus en finale. Le corps est puissant et moelleux tandis que la carbonatation est juste à point. Une Stout Impériale de qualité. Réunissant la plupart des éléments du style. Absolument goûteuse et bien houblonnée.

Jet black with a rich brown head. Boozy roast with vanilla and chocolate. Dark sweet chocolate and tons of vanilla. The sweetness and vanilla are a bit over the top, but otherwise very nice.

A deep dark stout with a thin lacing dark brown ale head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light coffee, light nutty notes, very nice. On tap at brewery.
