Pours very dark, but maybe not pitch black, and a big brown head that disappears after some time. Aroma's: full on chocolate, vanilla, sweetness. Retronasal it's sweet, boozy, chocolate, fudge. Flavour is chocolaty sweet but with some roast for balance. Medium bodied. Quite sharp alcohol feel. Long finish. Lovely dessert beer.

Glossy black, creamy brown head. Smells fudgy, some chocolate, light bourbon. Soft body, decent carbonation, not very thick. Quite boozy. Taste is sweet fudge and chocolate, with a big splash of bourbon. Could do with a bit more roast, but pretty tasty.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours black with a quickly fading, fizzy brown head. Hugely sweet, lots of gooey chocolate, mild ashy roast, sugary berries, cherry, raisins, toffee. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with spritzy carbonation. Modest warmth in the finish, sticky burnt sugars, more jammy berries, dark fruits, syrupy chocolate, background roast. Fun in a very childish kind of way.

0,33l can at home. BB 12/2025. black color, small coffee colored head. smells vanilla, bourbon, fudgy, marzipan, vanilla aroma, very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes vanilla, light artificial aromas, bourbon, fudgy, marzipan, nutty, oak, some sweetness, light coffee, bitter chocolate, hints of raisins. finishes roasty bitter / sweet with notes of vanilla, fudgy and sweet hazelnut notes. very good stuff, surprising amount of carbonation for an imp stout. quite a bit of underlying sweetness, but the balance is quite good. gets more heavy once warm though. overall very good one.

33cl Blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Deze variant is vooral heel veel Caramel Fudge en weinig Buffalo Trace. Wel aan de boozy kant maar ik haal er weinig eik of bourbon/vanille uit. Lijkt ook wat dunner dan eerdere varianten te zijn. De minste uit de serie tot nu toe, maar nog altijd een smakelijke guilty pleasure.
