The 2011 Vintage Ale, our 15th, is brewed with some of the finest of this year’s malt and hops. The malt grist includes a portion produced by Warminster maltings, from organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Nestone Park Estate. This will be married with the choicest Goldings, Organic First Gold and award winning Sovereign hops, to produce a beer with a firm malt base, marmalade notes and a satisfying bitter finish. Individually packaged and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and fifty thousand produced.

Gorgeous looking beer, great dark amber with a nice big fluffy white head. Quite hoppy, nice and pungent. Great malts, sweet and bready, with a good grain bill with light sherry notes. Light carb, quite soft, perfect mouthfeel. The finish is lightly bitter, with some slight booze, and a sweet maltiness. I think everything would realy meld together beautifully in a few years.

Boxed 500ml bottle (024675) at home after England beat Tunisia in the World Cup on 18th June 2018. Poured slowly into a UK pint sleeve. Rusty brown/mahogany, beige head. Barley wine feel to both the nose and taste, fairly sweet with a caramel leaning, some fruit cake flavours too. I do like these Vintage Ales from Fullers and this was a nice reward after watching the game.
