For domestic beer lovers, Hanoi bottled beer is a familiar choice in dining gatherings, whether it is with family dinners or with friends. Bottled beer in Hanoi is trusted not only by its stable quality, but also because it is a reputable Vietnamese brand associated with Hanoi capital and widely known by international friends. Oriented as the core product of Hanoi beer brand in general, Hanoi beer bottle has an annual output accounting for 70% of the total output of HABECO's products. The reason why Hanoi bottle beer has a strong position in the market of Northern provinces and cities is because of its attractive bright yellow beer color, durable foam, white fine, harmonious bitterness, mellow, and aftertaste deposition. Confident with the quality and brand power of this product, HABECO currently exports 450ml Hanoi beer to markets in Taiwan, Korea, and Australia.

Can: Poured a bright yellow lager with a nice white foamy head with some retention and lacing. Aroma of adjunct notes with some residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of adjunct with some residual sugar notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Passable adjunct based lager and reminiscent of other lager offerings from this brewery.

450 ml bottle. Clear golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with pale malts, grasses, slight bread and floral hoppy notes. The taste is light sweet. Medium body. Slightly drying finish. Nice in a hot climate. More anonymous in the cold North.

From a 450 ml bottle purchased in some remote location NW of Hanoi. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Aroma of grain and bread. Malty sweetness with scan bitterness. One of the better Vietnamese lagers.

This is now available in 330 ml cans (green vs red for 4.6% version). Aroma is malt and rice forward. Hints of floral esters and hops. No phenolics. Pours a very clear gold color with a small, thick, white head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light grain and moderate rice notes. Hints of white bread as well. Light floral ester and hop notes. Hints of herbal phenolics. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, not a great beer. Too much rice character and the 4.6% version is noticeably better. Nothing overly offensive though and it is easy drinking.

Bottle at Le Pub, pours a clear piss yellow with a small white head. Aroma is restrained, with sweet cereal malt and straw. Flavour is refreshing, with straw, rice and sweet cereal notes. Clean and refreshing, but it's a standard lager.

Bottle at Le Pub, Hanoi. Not sure how it poured as I drank it from the bottle and I don’t think anyone cares that much anyway! The aroma is light cardboard malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light yeasty, dry bubbly, light hop bitter palate and a bubbly mouthfeel. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

(bottle) Very pale straw with short lived white head. Not a lot of aroma - soft grain and maybe the slightest hint of grass. Medium body and nice mouth-filling carbonation. Flavour is pretty basic with some fairly pleasant soft light malt at the start, followed by some citrus tang and a hint of bitterness in the finish. Overall it is pleasant enough for an Asian pale lager - completely drinkable, and completely unmemorable.
