15/11/2020. Bottle (lockdown 2.0 takeout) from The Duke, Ipswich. As Big Drop Hazelnut Porter. Pours dark brown with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, nutty, chocolate, malt, biscuit. Moderate sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Light to moderate body, a little watery, average carbonation. Lacked the body of their other darks, but still a decent drop.

Bottle from BeerRitz as big drop Hazelnut Porter. It pours clear deep ruby - brown with a quickly dissipating beige head. The aroma is sweet, toothy, toffee, werther's original, hazelnut liqueur, snickers and some toasty malts. The taste is toasty and drysh upfront, then sticky and toothy, caramel / toffee, cacao, hazelnut, malt loaf and some wet cardboard with a short, sticky sweet finish. Light body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Condition let's it's down to be honest. Decent enough for a low alcohol option.
