For the last bottling of the 18|19 season, we blended an Oude Geuze with lambik originating from five different barrels and not less than nine different brews. More than half of the blend consists of two- and three-year old lambik and brings the weighted average age upon bottling to almost twenty months. Two-thirds of the blend consists of lambik that were brewed by us, among others the oldest portion that was brewed in the autumn of 2016.This blend has aged for over a year at the time of this release. This blend has an excellent cellaring potential and will evolve very nice for many years.

0,75l bottle at home. Bottled 28.10.2019. dark yellow hazy color, small white head. smells funky, cheesy, peppery, tobacco, green apples, oak. very nice smell full body, soft carbonation. tastes stone fruits, grassy, herbal, earthy, walnuts, grassy, hay, peppery, tobacco, rather funky. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of funk, hay and walnuts. love this one, great complexity, but also great to dirnk.

This one pours clear, with more visible co2 (and bottle pressure) . Scent is fairly mild, compared. Funky, raw malts. Taste is indeed far more carbed, more dry. Acidity seems higher as well. Less on the aroma's, more fresh and vibrant. Easier geuze for the bigger audience, though less unique, and thus more forgeteable to me. Also too high carbed for my preference.

My first new label, I think, perfect. Absolutely perfect (for me). Rustic funk, medium apple lemon sweetness, perfect medium carb, dry lingering finish I love.

Fairly hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of cellar funk, dusty, cobwebs, citrus and green apple. Flavour is moderate sour. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
