Cask carry out from the Bitter End Off Licence, Bromley. Amber pour with a white head. Citrus and honey aroma. Fruity flavour. Lots of citrus. Light fruity finish. Interesting.

Cask at the Wandsworth Common Spring BF, London. Pours clear gold with a foamy-bubbly, white head. Toasty dough nose with some sweet citrus and light hay notes. Medium sweet flavor with dirty, bitter hay, some lemon and orange, toasty straw, white sugar, biscuits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky, lightly resinous finish with sweet straw and citrus rind. Not bad. A fairly progressive British IPA.

50cl bottle from the Home Brew Shop, Aldershot. Dark straw with a ring of white head; heady aroma, packed with tropical fruit and alcohol; thick and oily in the mouth with lots of tropical fruit - even coconut; leading to a dry resinous finish. Definitely worth a try!

Bottle, shared by Papsoe. An almost clear one, witbier colored and with a nice, dense, off-white head on top. Cute lacings. Slightly chalky, milky nose, with some citrus and pale malts. Dry in the mouth, medium to thin body. The flavor is a bit sour too, with pale malts and citrus peel. Bitter finish. Probably a tasteful one when completely fresh, but it wasn’t top notch now. 100814

Warning! Early amateur rating! Nice fruity IPA but with a noticeably bitter finish. Wasn’t too sure at first but really grew on me.

(Cask at Bricklayer’s Arms, London) Alcohol hit quite heavily through. I expected this to be quite bitter but it wasn’t. I was more mellow and sweet with quite mild bitterness at the end. The only part where hops did really appear clearly was the aroma. Unfortunately the impression was more like musty hops than fresh ones. Disappointing.

Bottle: Golden, almost clear, visible carbonation, huge and stable rocky yellowish head; lemony and orangey hoppy nose, backed by a light yeasty fruitiness; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, relatively light bodied for a beer of 7.0%; lingering dry bitter and lemony-fruity finish with a light touch of alcohol. Good, but not great....

Bottle, 7.0%. OK grassy hop aroma. Cloudy pale yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour has a good malt base, subtle and clean. A good yeast note, nice and clean baking yeast. Good mouthfeel. The hop note is also there, grassy and nice.
