30th December 2020
Can. Very hazy yellowish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, quite thin too. Decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin malts, reasonably sweet. Tangy but bright citrus from the fairly traditional hop profile. Fresh orange juice that gets a little swamped by some tangy peel. Marmalade in there. Juicy tangerine, well buried. Airy, dry and fairly spicy finish. A tad thin and tangy but the bright fruity nature of the hops make this easy drinking.

Can picked up from Hoptimism website, Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK. Consumed at home Monday 28th December 2020 listening to Craig Charles standing in for Steve Lamaq on 6 Music, just had Stuffed aubergine rolls with melting mozzarella. Pours milkshake yellow in colour with a white head. Really hoppy, a little harsh but it's very good, citrussy, I am burping hop resins. Good, tastes easier to drink than it should for the abv.

CO 10/11/2020, BB 10/08/2021; 440ml can

APPEARANCE: pineapple and pear juice color in the glass, off white head that dissipates very quickly

AROMA: smooth tropical & exotic fruits on the nose, ripe & overripe fruits like yellow melon, fat papaya, soft mango & lychee underneath, moderate tropical candy sweetness, sweet onions, soft green note, hints of perfume, mild silky & sweet oats, notes of bread dough, lemon/lime freshness on the edges, lemon candy, no sign of alcohol; fragrant on the nose but not bold

TASTE: very soft carbonation, feels slightly undercarbed, pillowy & silky texture, medium plus body; moderate juicy and fruity sweetness to begin with, slightly restrained on the fruity side, mango, papaya, impressions of pineapple candy, lychee and mangosteen; quite spicy, green & grassy on the edges and in the aftertaste, some hop burn lingers in back corners of the mouth and throat; resinous and earthy notes from hop oils; impressions of fruited vodka on the edges and subtle sulfur;

OVERALL: inviting on the nose, decent creamy mouthfeel with bitter hop bite that lingers, not overly sweet or candy like which is a plus in my opinion; solid, dangerously drinkable but not over the top

Can sourced from Ales & Brews and shared at home - hazed up opaque yellow coloured pour with a white head. Intense juicy fruity hits delivered here, big grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, lemon, citrus peel, nice nip of hop spice, light chalky, smooth substantial mouthfeel, piney young green solid hoppy finish. Gorgeous.
