Deep copper Brown Ale with roasted malt caramel-like fullness and a medium body. The beer is balanced with the firm clean bitterness of American Amarillo Hops, that whilst not strong in flavour or bitterness, are crucial to the overall complexity of this beer. Roast Caramel Malt and Milk Chocolate–like flavours are the hallmark of an American Style Brown Ale.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges and a small head. Pine, caramel, toffee, grapefruit and dried fruit in the aroma. Nutty, malty and reasonably hoppy taste with notes of roasted malt, grapefruit, toffee and nuts. The finish is fruity and nutty with a pleasant bitterness.

On tap @ London City Airport. Clear, dark brown body with a nice, creamy beige head. Pleasant aroma of light roasted malt, caramel and fruity hops. Nice malt flavor, toast, fruity and moderate bitterness. Medium body, nice aftertaste. A tasty and well-composed Brown Ale somewhere between British and American.

(Draught at William K Tennispalatsi, 20111123) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts and piny hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, fruitiness, malts and bitterness. Afteraste was hoppy and bitter. I would have expected stronger maltiness. Hoppiness was ok.

On tap at the Foundry in Canterbury. Clear ruby brown beer with thin beige head. American style brown ale with plenty of leafy happy aroma and flavour with the malt actually taking a back seat. Light and tasty in mouth. Probably could do with a but more dry malt but i do like the hops. Light and drinkable but with enough about it to make it interesting.

On tap at the Draft House. Clear red-brown beer, tidy tan head. Mild but obvious coffee on the nose. Crisp palate, semi dry. Darkish malts but mild and with subtle coffee. Nicely balanced fruits underneath. Plum, trace of cherry, some orange. Minerals then a fresh semi dry finish with more fruit. A very nice brown beer. So good I had another - and that doesn’t happen to often!
