ROSALINDA, une bière festive! Une base de blanche avec du froment qui dû au moût de raisin, est devenue légèrement rosée. 7% d’alcool, très légère en bouche, sèche et complexe!

3/VII/24 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home with Jan R., BB: X/2023, L035/20 (2024-474)

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, oxidized, some balsamic vinegar. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty oxidized, cardboard, sweet touch, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: lots of cardboard, sweet touch, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: lots of cardboard, oxidized, a bit malty, grains, gentle bitterness, a bit sugary, meh. Not very convincing.

Rosé kleurig bier zonder schuim. Smaak is licht zoetzuur, als een roséwijn met iets van druiven en grapefruit. Eigenlijk best een prettig fris fruitig bier.

A peachy hue on this almost clear gold beer, a small pale peach colour head doesn't hang around. Nose is mellow rose wine! Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. The malts are thin and bring just a modest sweetness. I doubt you would want anything more in this brew because the thin malts let the grapes shine. Rose wine, bright but not acidic and with a mild underlying honeyish fruit tone. Light crisp finish. Nice! You can argue with some justification that this is a fruit beer but these Grape ales have their own character and given the other style splits on Ratebeer, this is an easy split for me. Nice winey beer!

Bottle. Color: Clear orangish golden, fast disappearing very thim white head. Aroma: Malty, yeasty, fruity. Taste: Malty, a lot of fruity white grape most, grape seed and skin. Yeasty notes. Tannins. Dry mouthfeel. Light to moderate sweet, very light bitter and tart. Bit vinuous. Medium body, below average carbonation. Nice grape ale.

Clear rose colour with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour do have the grapey sweetness of a rose wine. Also some floral notes. The yeasty residue is very tasty adding a something close to a musty, fruity funk.

BB 10/2023, Lot 035/20; 330ml bottle purchased at La Cave à Bières d'Etre Gourmet;

APPEARANCE: deep golden, slightly yellow-ish color with rose hues and light haze, quickly dissipating off-white head into a small ring of very tiny bubbles, slow rising carbonation here and there;

AROMA: loads of sweet grape must on the nose paired with malty/bready sweetness; notes of fermenting wine must, hints of wine cellar and yeast underneath; sweet ripe grapes, impressions of raisins here and there, sweet grape jam on bread crust, subtle grape skin tartness, hints of clove and subtle cinnamon

TASTE: smooth carbonation with loads of tiny bubbles, slightly oily and slick mouthfeel, mineral notes, medium light to medium body; clearly noticeable wheat beer base, bready sweetness, smooth cloves, nice amount of Gamay must & grape sweetness, hints of grape candy and bread crust, subtle hard candy or lollipop; faint hints of berries; soft tartness appears before the finish; notes of dusty hoppiness, dry wood, sweet grains and gentle dryness in the aftertaste

OVERALL: my first Grape Ale to be honest and I'm impressed with the outcome; successful marriage of wine must and beer here; very smooth, flavorful, easy drinking for 7% abv and refreshing with gentle, soft tartness from the grapes;

Bouteille 33cl, BB 10/2023.

The ‘pink’ one in a new, small series of grape ales by Atrium, bottle bought at Dok Brewing Company in Ghent, shared with Steve. Snow white, mousy, medium thick, opening head on a hazy orangey peach blonde beer with indeed a salmon-pinkish tinge. Aroma of ripe white grapes, apricot jam, whitecurrant, something sweaty and musty, jute bags, stale orange juice, rosé wine, kiwi, butter, homemade apple juice. Very fruity, juicy onset, lots of sweet ripe white grape but also impressions of yellow raspberry, green kiwi and sweet red apple; medium fizz, supple and lean body. Slender bready and lightly caramelized malt body carrying a lot of sweet and sour fruitiness, a persisting white grape flavour but also something citric (orange), shifting to more astringent grape skin tannins but never losing its grapey juiciness. Subtle floral hop bitter touch in the end as well as a non-disturbing buttery aspect, while – not unusual in this kind of beer – a ‘pure’ grape flavour pops up again in the very end. Multi-layered, complex Italian style grape ale: Atrium at its most elegant. Highly recommended!
