Salted Caramel Double Chocolate Milk Stout.

This decadent pastry stout has a thick body from the use of lactose, chocolate from both the special malt and cocoa nibs and a subtle salty finish from the salted caramel malt.

Moloch is the 12th Daemon, who received child sacrifices. We named the beer for the Russian word for milk: Molokó.

Can from Daily Delis, Amsterdam.
A: cloudy black, stable, foamy, beige head.
A: caramel, milk chocolate, pistachio, mocha.
T: very sweet milk chocolate, caramel sauce & salty peanut.
F: herbal hops, some coffee roast, caramel & warming liqueur-like alcohol.
P: full body, oily texture, average carbonation.
Well, that's enough pastry for me today.

Good beer. Not too pastry, firm roast and bitterness. Well balanced. Walhalla ams

33cl Blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Redelijk zoet, veel caramel, melkchocolade, gebrande mout, praliné, romig, bitterzoete finish. Medium body. Niet super-superzoet gelukkig, maar helaas ook niet heel spannend, beetje eendimensionaal. Doet wat het zegt, afgezien van het zoute.

0.33 l can from 't Biermenneke, canned in December 2020. Black with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Intensely sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, caramel and coffee. Fairly sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of milk chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, some caramel and lactose, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, almost sugary finish. Medium to full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really sweet, a tad too much for my liking but pretty much what you can expect from a Double Chocolate Milk Stout. Still quite tasty though.

Black with light tan head. Sweet and deep roasted. Charcoal, cognac boozy whim to it. I don’t need lactose in my beer, I prefer the bitter or even sour truth. Love the roasted malts, not a big fan of added lactose. My oliebol is sweet enough 😅
