Named for the World War II aircraft, this beer was brewed initially by Mitchell’s in Lancaster, England. When Mitchell’s retired from brewing, it was picked up by neighbor Thwaites and they turned it into a major brand. In 2014 Marston's took over production of most Thwaites beers after the closure of the latter's main brewery. Banks's already brewed Lancaster Bomber under licence since 2014 but now Banks's is part of Marston's and the beer has become a Banks's in house beer. So you may see this beer branded as Banks's or Marstons.

meh, this was a little boring. Some light caramel malts, and some light hops, not unpleasant, but nothing to write home about.

Bottle from a local Lidl. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel toffee. Moderate sweet flavour with a moderate bitter finish. Light to medium body. Drinkable, but doesn't have a lot of character.

500ml bottle. Poured a clear dark amber colour a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt and red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, malt, nutty, floral, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
