A new way to enjoy our iconic Old Peculier! Until now our legendary Old Peculier has only been available as a cask conditioned beer on draught. However, we are proud to announce that the development of cold filtration has enabled us to apply a new conditioning technique to Old Peculier that ensures the unique flavours and aromas of the cask version are preserved. Served at a cooler temperature to suit contemporary tastes.
Brewed with only the finest malted barley, Challenger, Target and the majestic Fuggle hops. Fermented with the famous Theakston twin strain yeast to create its extra strength and complex character. The legendary Old Peculier is a deep, dark ruby coloured ale with a rich, fruity flavour with hints of black cherry and banana.

Cask @ George Hotel, Hull. Very dark brown, lively with massive head. Liquorice and dark fruit dominate the aroma. A sweet beer, only mildly tempered in the taste with a bitter edge in the finish and aftertaste. A great beer with many imitators but few challengers.

Dark red beer with a slightly bubbly head and smells of a mix of fruit and malt. The flavour is of fruit (some sort of red berry, perhaps?) and strong, toasty malt which carries through with a touch of hop for a lasting finish.
