The twenty second one of 22 beers for our 12th wedding anniversary. Ljanmalíja's.
Can 0.33l, more than four years aged. Cloudy, very dark copper colored. AROMA- bourbon, red fruit - dark grapes, berries, plums; Christmas chocolate bonbons. FLAVOR- medium sweetness, quite bitter, fruit jam, honey, caramel, liquor, Christmas chocolate bonbons, needleleaves. Full bodied.
Great.

Can shared at home, cellared this one for a year. Nose and taste are intense bourbon notes with underlying caramel and bready malts, some chocolate too. Nice barrel character and a solid base beer. Pleasant, but a bit uninteresting.

roasted malts , tons of burnt sugar and dark fruit and caramel. Big sweet nose with some stewed apples. The bourbon isn’t too strong but modest. Rounded. A touch tart.

330ml can pours out cola brown topped with a sand head. Nose is nice sweet malts caramel pitfruit rich brown sugar bourbon barrel vanilla. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts caramel toffee pitfruit bourbon barrel. This was a good one.

Tap at Zil verne. Full body, medium carbonation. Does not feel too full though, pleasantly rounded, seems well aged. Med-high bitterness, but very soft. Medium sweetness, also soft. And med-light warmth, but once again, very fucking soft. Loads of malts here, chocolate, toffee, biscuity, lots of these. Then rather light coffee. Moderate dried fruits, raisins, plums. Also slightly sherry-like. Subtle bourbon influence. Very decadent, rich in both breadth and depth of flavours. Excellent sipper. Great beer.

33cl can from Rimi Supermarket, Tallinn. Pours very dark brown with a tanned head. Roasty and boozy with dominating bourbon notes, caramel, dried dark fruits and hints of dark chocolate. Sweet with arming alcohol; fairly nice, but way to sweet for my taste.

Tap at Beergeek Bar. Very dark brown body, off-white head. Creamy raisiny aroma, a full caramelly malty backbone with light chocolate and a solid presence of alcohol. The taste is lean, but not excessively so, oxidation is definitely evident, sometimes getting in the way, sometimes helping things along nicely. The other flavors are excellent, the mix of caramel and somehow juicy resins, heading towards a woody finish, some light vanilla showing up as well, leaning towards coconut perhaps and signalling the barrel presence. Solid stuff.

Canned 330ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Almost black coloured, medium sized beige head, alcohol, caramel and parmesan cheese in the nose. Roasted malt, dried fruits, caramel and heavy alcohol with discreet wood touch.
