27/6/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at the Cumbrian 20 bottle share. Pours slightly hazy pale golden amber with a bubbly/frothy off-white head. Aroma of toffee, butter, fruit, hops and grain. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Average carbonation. Touch starchy to finish. Best of the UY beers tried so far today.

Bottle from the Cartmel village shop. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head if slightly dull in colour. Nose - delicate at first but then lemon meringue. Taste - lemon and toffee which is well integrated but a little dominated by the toffee. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - decent blonde if a little sweet.
