Thin light brown head on a still near black coloured body.
Liquorice, toffee, & sugary aroma.
Medium bodied, smooth & creamy thinning out to a clean back.
Malt, toffee, plum, liquorice & berry tastes with a long bitter finish.
Cracking Stout.

The aroma is good, moderately dry, with a chocolate aftertaste with a hint of cherry and plum. The color is black, the foam is average, beige. The taste is strongly roasted, again the plum and a hint of cherry are noticeable, all this in dark chocolate, earthy blueberry with herbal accents. Nice, drinkable stout.

Cask @ Malt And Mardle on the north side of Norwich, keep heading north beyond the Puppet Theatre. Black with a light-brown frothy-bubbly head. Fair roasted notes that have a sugary influence in both aroma and taste.

Bottle, picked up at the brewery. Deep chestnut brown. Nice dense thin light tan swede. Good dark chocolate. Charred wood. Caramel. Vine fruit. Smells great. Taste is semi sweet with plenty of roast malt and dark chocolate bitterness. Smooth and easy drinking with fine brisk carbonation. Robust bitter finish. Nice.

500ml bottle. Gluten Free. Black brown colour, tan foamy head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, roasted, chocolate, cocoa. Taste is malty, roasty, chocolate, cocoa, dried fruit, with tangy nutty bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, nutty roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Opaque, dark mahogany colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty, minimally yeasty spicy and fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, dark caramel, a touch of marmite, liquorice, hints of blueberry. Taste is sweet-ish and moderately bitter, roasty, chocolately dark malty, slightly fruity hoppy and minimally yeasty spicy, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, a touch of dark caramel, burnt caramel, hints of blueberry, liquorice, cautious smoky-ashy overtones. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, simultaneously slightly dry, minimally repellent palate, medium, soft carbonation. Quite beefy for only 4.6% abv, well balanced - good!

My first rating of 2021. 500ml bottle: BBE Jan 2022, drank at home on 5th Jan 2021. Almost black in colour, beige head that stayed a while. Roasted malty aroma and taste, red berries in the flavour also, not as exciting as I'd hoped, but it's a pleasant enough Stout.
