500ml bottle, IBU 39, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsø. Small, patchy, beige head leaving spotty lacing behind. Deep rosewood coloured body. Inviting dark chocolate aromas, hints of liquorice. Dark doughy flavours, moments of chocolate and coffee. Smoothly roasted bitter ending. Fine depth. Nice (Tromsø 05.03.2018).

Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted coffee, malt and chocolate with hints of nut, citrus and berries. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Light to medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. Dry finish with lasting roasted bitterness. Easy drinking traditional stout.

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A dark cola coloured pour with a loose beige head; aroma of coffee grounds; dry and smooth in the mouth with a milky body and some chocoalte and coffee flavours; then a dry finish with a hint of warming spices, and lingering well-done toast. Rather good.
