It was a long, long time ago, that the Hofbräu Maibock was brewed for the first time: In 1614 the bottom-fermented beer specialty filled beer steins for the first time. Even today, Munich's oldest bock beer is still as popular as ever with its full-bodied, malty flavor. The relatively high alcohol content of 7.2% Vol. doesn’t do things half-way – and satisfies, especially honest beer connoisseurs.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear amber with a finger of off-white head that lingers. Toasted caramel and light mineral aromas on the nose. Palate is similar. Very nice spring drinker.

Bottle. Clear amber with a 2cm near white head. Malty aroma with singed toffee, hints of spices. And then it's fine, if plain. Sweet with a decent - if dull - smack of bitterness at the end. Lacks soul.

11.2oz bottle pours out amber topped with a small sand head. Nose is sweet caramel toasted malts. Taste is more of the nice sweet caramel malts toast and some nutty notes.

beautiful appearance of clear amber colour with huge, creamy and long lasting beige-ish ecru head; aroma of mild toasted rye bread, roasted sunflower seeds, slight orange zesty and floral notes; taste of roasted sunflower seeds, rye bread, some syrupy sweetish notes, minimal orange zest and definite alcoholic spiciness; really good one
