Sampled from bottle, April 2010 at Glunz Beer Expo, Chicago. This does not seem to have caught on in this area yet. The representative from the importer, Las Vegas Beverage Co., said they have a brewer from Australia, and they wanted a beer that goes well with Italian food, with less bitter aftertaste (In other words, another Heineken). What we’ve got is a very pale lager, a nice bit of foam at the top for a sample. It is a little too sweet for me, so they have left out some needed hop. The sweetness does dry out after a few sips. Sigh. I’ve found some nice Italian beers in my time, but this doesn’t quite make the cut. I wouldn’t even rank this up there with a Peroni. A very light mouthfeel. If you want to match with Italian food, why can’t you be substantial as Italian table wine?

Can, 5%. Sweet grain aroma. Clear golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is slightly grainy and quite watery. Not so interesting.

hope this is the right spot for this, its unclear. cant tell if it says bionda on the label anyplace. some skunk in there but its mo like skunk or veggie cabbage, really. Pale ale color. Green bottle with a twist off cap. taste is typical veggie smelling pale lager, not bad but not exceedingly clear either. decent carbonation yet not above average. finish is like aerosmith rocks er sumthin. look is just plain old pale yellow water without any bubblin. birra italiana, yea, glad i’m dago.

Bottle from Jamies, Italian Restaurant, Oxford, 24-09-09 Pours gold with white head and much like the previous pale lager Messina that I had at this establishment the only things that really stood about it was how stunningly mediocre it was. Maltier that the Mesina, with graininess showing, its just ok, no more no less. A4 A3 F5 P3 Ov9 2.4
