A Bavarian black beer with distinctive carmel malt sweetness and rich creamy trademark head. Flavorful, yet smooth; it is very drinkable!

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt and hints of smoke, roast and raisin in the aroma. Malty flavor with raisin and roast. Just a hint of smoke. Thin to medium bodied. Sweetish. Pleasant.

bottle - Pours clear dark amber with a one finger light tan head. It has an aroma of malt and slightly sour fruit. It tastes of roast malt with a little chocolate. It’s medium bodied and drinkable but lacking.

Bottled 355ml. -at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Reddish/brown coloured, medium to big pale beige head, malty fruity nose. Sweet malty, and too sweet caramel taste with notes of hops and chocolate. Nutty notes in rather sweet finish. Watery palate, just average beer.

13th April 2008 A dark brown beer that is something very mild mild or a porter with a sweet note. No bitterness, pretty neutral and quite drinkable.

Bottle from GBBF 09. Dark brown colour with lasting thin tan head. Its a half decent dark lager, some dark cherry in there. Some yeasty malt on aroma with some dark fruit. Yes, good drinkability. I thought pretty decent.

what a nice surprise. got this one as a gift and i suppose i wasnt expecting much. really nice malts but not too sweet, actually really well balanced, a little too mild alcohol content, but not weak either, great beer.

I bought three different 355ml bottles from this brewery at the USA bar provided by Bières Sans Frontières at GBBF. This one poured a deep, rosewood content under a beige foamy head. Sweet smell of caramel malts with hints of tart, dark fruits. Flavoured by malty sweetness with notes of yeast behind. Soft carbonated. A decent version of a black beer (hotel room, shared with Arild 05.08.2009).
