Honey and citrus in the aroma. Sweetish with a lovely honey flavor. Some orange. This beer lacks the complexity of a Duvel, but is friendly and well-made.

Classic Van Steenberge ale, golden blond, hazy, with snow white head and fruity, yeasty character, malt sweetness and spicy notes with a mild florally hopped finish. Average, like most of their beers, and unmistakably Van Steenberge.

Rich orange and hazy golden and light amber coloured body with a nice thick, three centimetre off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, curacao, bubble gum, yeast, malt, light hops and even more alcohol - nice and strong. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong malt and wheat flavours with a large hay, grassy and alcohol bite and some good sugars coming through. Aftertaste shows hints of fruits with a little alcohol bitterness and some subdued hoppiness and a good malty backbone that lasts. Overall, a nice rich beer with some good bitterness, a lot of sweetness and perhaps even more alcohol bite at the end. I sampled this 33 cL stubby bottle as part of a Van Steenberge four pack sampler purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon City) in late November 2013.

Bottle - Sweet Belgium yeast and apricot. Cloudy gold and a rich white head. A little over carbonated, sweet yeast and booze. Brown sugar anda bit too sweet for my taste.
