Fairly clean, amber colour with golden highlights, a smaller light-beige head, average stay and a little lacing. Wheat aromas giving a touch of bananas, some dates, caramel malts, alcohol, hints of Belgian yeast and hops. The taste shows a lot of the same, but getting some rusty feel found in some Rousse beers. A tad warming and not as much dark fruits as expected - which is fine with me. The flavours seem to be adjusting nicely as it breathes, showing off some good spices. An easier-drinking Quad that does the job.

L’alcool enveloppe les fruits noirs en introduction à cet olfactif aux notes de raisins secs et de figues. Un tout léger caramel et des accents de mélasse se pointent en sourdine, mais reste que l’alcool est omniprésent. Une petite mousse beige sur un liquide brun limpide aux reflets sombrement cuivrés. Les accents fruités sont enrobés d’un alcool un peu moins dominant qu’en olfactif à l’entrée de bouche. Des notes de prunes, de raisins secs, de mélasse, suivie d’une finale où l’alcool et les houblons herbacés s’entremêlent. La balance est très unidirectionnelle vers l’alcool et le malt. L’effervescence pourrait être plus active et l’alcool plus dissimulé. Le corps est riche et crémeux dans cette Quad tout à fait correcte.
