Grain, hops, and citrus fruit aroma. Herbal, malty, and bitter taste, with a hint of grapefruit and pine.

Can. I can't remember the last time I had a beer from this brewery. Gold colour, a bit dull from a touch of haze but compared with most pales these days this is pretty bright. Thin head. On the nose and palate both, it has a bit of malt chewiness, more than I'd expect from the colour. Bitterness seems lower than the 38 IBU that's on the can. Malts leave a fair bit of sweetness on the palate and aren't really helping the hops out much. But the hops themselves could be brighter. I get going a bit old school but the elements here aren't complementing each other all that well. Would love more agrumes in this one, really.

Can that pours a mild hazy golden colours with amber hues. The frothy head is off-white, long lasting and leaving wavy lacing. Aromas of fresh citrus notes with strong grassiness coming out eventually. The flavours show decent bitterness, but because the mouthfeel is not too dry, this one is refreshing. Citrus notes again and lighter grassy ones. Grapefruit zest seems to build. Interesting, refreshing Pale Ale.
