Kasteel Blond is beautifully balanced with hop bitters and malty aromas. The hints of fruit from the yeast are reminiscent of citrus fruits. The beautiful balance makes the beer mild in the aftertaste and is therefore an excellent thirst-quencher.

33cl Bottle, thanks Jeroen! Clear golden blond beer, white head. Aroma of sugar, corn, some fruits and a hint of metal. Flavour is corn, sugar (typical Kasteel), metallic, with a sour-bitter finish. Very bad beer, almost strong lager-like.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Clear golden with an off-white head. Fairly clean and malty aroma - appears almost German in its maltiness!! Medium body, sweet pale malts with a light whiff of fruit. Dry and lightly sulphurous finish. Appears not very Belgian at all - but pleasant. 221108

0.33L bottle, small head that dissapears almost instantly, quite clear deep gold colour, expressive but one dimmensional malty nose. The taste is malty sweet with vanila notes, body is quite light, short biitersweet aftertaste. Overall this beer is bland, simple and unexciting.

Draught at Temple Bar Cinemall in Haifa. Slightly hazy golden-orange with a small but stable, quite creamy, white head. Aroma of fresh fruits, light citrus, some yeast and a bit of malt. Flavor starts a bit sweetish with bready malt, continues dry and fruity with some yeast, and finishes with bitter spicy hoppiness and alcohol notes. Medium-bodied. Not great but quite tasty.

Draught Huge off-white, very fine & dense head; orange beer. Very fruity & spicy nose, some citrus, fresh-smelling. Strangely oxydized cookie/malt taste with citrus lining. Chaff, cookies and maybe honey. Feels more carbonated than it looks. Medium bodied, slick. Bit strange - the beer is new, fresh and yet tastes of oxydated malts. It’s still not an easy-drinking brew, despite the reduced ABV.

Bottle. Earthy, moldy aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is earthy, but watery with some alcohol bitterness. Old? There is no label on it... High carbonation.
