500ml Flasche. Goldgelbe Farbe, schöne Schaumkrone. Geruch hopig, grasig. Geschmack angenehm herb, grasig. Die Bitterkeit hält sich lange.

Typical German pilsner, quite bitter and a bi grainy. Nice, but still a pilsner, so nothing special.

Half-litre on 11 Sep 2013 in the Brauereiausschank on Munsterplatz, Freiburg. Clear golden, with a full foaming head of white bubbles. Perfumed aroma, herbal and cloves came to mind as I sniffed and sipped my beer. Not bad at all, refreshing and slightly different in make up to most German Pilsners, not being so dry and hop orientated: it did however have a mild bitter finish to an otherwise semi-sweet malty tasting brew. Medium to light body, a good draught Pilsner.

Old rating. Clear golden, sparkling, minimal head. Aroma hay, grass, basement aromas. Taste medium bitterness, light body, fizzy, prickly, not smooth at all, not quite in balance.

Thanks to kevnic2008 for that one. Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, modest dry, fine malty-spicy notes. More and more wheaty. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. Nice!

A very light pils, not much emphasis on either malts or hops... refreshing and easy to drink, nice enough

Tap. Clear yellow color, short head. Aroma of german hop, quite grassy, bit skunky. Decent bitter pilsener. After a long day of driving, it quenched my thrist adequately.

On tap/draught at the Ganter tap (not the one at the brewery) the one by the cathedral in the centre of town, Freiburg 12-06-10 Pours yellow with a white head, good clarity. The aroma is a little strange, bit musty and of damp clothing. This lacks a crispness and s only slightly refreshing. Despite its faults I quite like it, soft in the mouth with hops showing albeit in a rather shy way, some maltiness, I found it slightly unusual but fine. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, fruity, light hoppy, flower notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20100201]

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a white head. Mild orange fruity hops aroma. Bitter and light fruity initial flavour. Mild malt base. Smooth and light bitter into a dry and refreshing finish.
