An amber/tea coloured body with a dense off-white head. The nose is soft grainy malt with hints of honey and chocolate. A tasty new world take on the classic ESB. The hint of fruity hops is blended well with classic ESB elements - dark sweet caramel malt, grain, honey and mixed nuts, which come out as the beer approaches room temperature. A satisfying ale.

600ml bottle. Clear Copper pour, medium off white head. Aroma is bready, nutty, soft toasted malts. Light hops, but not the pungent UK hop profile I was expecting, it's subtle and grassy. Overall is quite nutty, a brown ale, and Esb hybrid I think. It lacks the hop profile I think an Esb needs. Not a bad need, just needs more golding of fuggles.

Part of their Winter 2017-18 mixed pack. Pours a clean amber colour with a warm yellow cap, great stay and thick foamy lace. The green grassy hops are present in the nose, juts a tad over the sweet caramel malts. Hints of dark fruits. The taste is actually pretty hoppy for the style, with the dryness going down nicely. Harder to taste the maltiness. Some notes of rye grain spiciness. Does get better tasting, balanced as it breathes.

A dark orange amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, caramel malt with light grainy notes, herbal hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with British hops, light mineral notes, grainy character, pleasant. On tap at brewery.
