Kristoffel Dark is a top fermented dark coloured beer, brewed with especially selected roasted and coloured barley malt varieties. The beer has a full body, a rich aroma with roasted malt, caramel and coffee notes. The use of aromatic hop varieties provides the beer with a gentle hop bitterness. The beer has a slightly sweet, coffee-like aftertaste.

Clear reddish brown beer, big irregular beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, some burnt caramel, grains, hay, spicy touch, some liquorish. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: little roasted, caramel, sweet, malty, bit sourish, hay, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: some chocolate, soft roast, hint of coffee, pretty bitter, rather decent. Not as sweet and cloying as I had feared. :p

Donkerrood bruin kleurig bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet en kruidig met iets van karamel en kandij. Jammer dat dit bier wat waterig is anders was het zeker nog hoger gewaardeerd geweest.

Pours caramel Brown. Clear and dark. Smell is caramelly sweet. Taste is thin, dark sugar, some caramel. Weak overall.

Bottle. Nice dark brown color with small off white head. Light yeast, plums, raisins and light toasted malts. Light taste with some sweetness and very light bitter finish. Nothing special but nothing offensive either.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Sinterklaas who bought it @ the local Aldi supermarket because I have been such a good boy. Clear brown with a beige head. Malty aroma with caramel. Rather one-dimensional but somewhat decent. Short metallic aftertaste.
