Mild nose of dark malt. Very nice, understated bipa. The taste profile leads with roasted malt and a touch of cream. Mild but juicy hop underpin classic stout taste elements with hints of dark berries and cherries. A nice clean finish adds to an enjoyable quaff.

Bottle: Poured a black color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry roasted malt with light hoppy notes is OK. Taste is a mix of roasted malt with light hoppy notes with subtle cherry notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but not sure the cherry notes are dominant enough to convey the black forest deScription.

A dark reddish brown ipa with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet burned caramel malt with grassy floral hops, light peated notes, light chocolate and coffee, nice. In mouth, a nice peaty chocolate malt with light sulfur notes, funky, coffee grind extract, interesting. On tap at Arrow and Loon.

Pours a hazy deep ruby-brown colour with a beige head and nice creamy lacing. Aromas of burnt wood, dark fruits, chocolate malts and molasses. A lot of the same for the taste with the cherries now showing a bit. Decent dryness in the finish and bitterness lingers. Pretty interesting brew, but the nose seems a little unbalanced. Not one I would have again.
