Pours a murky brown, with a big beige head. Incredibly malty nose. Big notes of sweet grains, caramels, and fresh bread with some dry hay, and grassy hops. Good carb, mouth feel is viscous. Finish is sweet, but not cloying. Big bread notes, loads of sweet grains. This borders on doppelbock.

On tap at the brewery. The brewery’s first lager. A stone fruit or fruitcake bready aroma. Toasted malts, sweetly balanced and medium-thin bodied but possibly thin for the style in my opinion.

A reddish amber bock with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nutty and chalky malt with mash tun notes. In mouth, a smooth nutty malt with grassy character and mineral notes. Bottle at Festibière de Gatineau, May 26, 2013.

Bouteille 500ml.

Aroma: Typical malt caramel and roasted notes, hazelnut and sugar cane. Moderate intensity. Very standard malted beer aroma. Appearance: Clear brown with red glints developing a creamy average head. Moderate lasting, sticking a bit on glass but no lacing. Taste; Very malty flavors with a hoppy finish. We can find roasted bread, caramel, sugar cane and roasted notes. Bittering hops for finish. Body is medium and texture is slightly oily. Average!!!!!

Good smell of malt here with some aromas of spice. A little roast as well and some caramel. Pours mahagony with some good creamy foam and a little lacing. Taste leaves with a little sweetness and a little bitterness. Decent, drinkable beer. 500 ml bottle thanks to Boutip.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color bock with a large foamy head with good carbonation and light lacing. Aroma of caramel malt that is dryer then expected with some light spicy notes. Taste is dryer again then expected with a spicy finish which appears to originate from the malt. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting and while not being unpleasant the spicy notes are somewhat surprising.
