Black with a frothy, beige head. Coffee and roasted grains. Fudge. Bitter and faintly sour at the finish. Traditional. Nice.

Roast, coffee, so watery, some toilet

On tap at Siboire, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma smells like fresh oats, with dry toasted malt. Flavour is hearty and dry, with lots of dry oats, dry cocoa and toasted malts. Creamy and dry. Good stuff.

Draft @ Siboire Saint-Laurent, Montreal. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate bitter finish.

Tap at the brewpub: Poured a black color stout with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry roasted malt with some chocolate notes is quiet nice. Taste is also a nice mix of dry roasted malt with some chocolate flavours and light coffee notes. Body is a bit thin with good carbonation. Easily drinkable but maybe a tad thin for the style.

Dégustée en fût sur place. De couleur noire et opaque. Nez de malt rôti, moyen de café, léger de chocolat au lait avec des notes de chocolat noir. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement doux ainsi qu’une texture crémeuse azotée mais aux notes aqueuses. Faibles notes de chocolat au lait avec des petites traces métalliques (azotées) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût de grains de malt rôtis avec des notes de chocolat noir puis en finale l’on retrouve un léger-moyen goût de café avec des notes de houblon herbeux. Post-goût moyen, légèrement amer de rôti avec des notes de café et de houblon herbeux. (23 janvier 2013)

A deep dark stout with a thick moka head. A pleasant sweet chocolate aroma with light vanilla notes. In mouth, a good sweet chocolate, coffee and light berry notes. Light to medium bodied. On tap at brewpub Dec. 30 2008.
