Bouteille 750ml.

Totally forgotten this one in the cellar (damn !!). Pours a dark brown colour with a big beige head that is fizzy and disappears quickly. Reminds me of pouring a cola. Alright, well this one smells a bit like cork, so it did go bad (at only 5% ABV and being so old). Still, notes of roasted malt and apples. Bland boring mouthfeel and taste of burnt malt, with again, the fruit (apples). Great I was able to purchase a few of these back in the day, but nothing special (and now I have one left for more cellaring - which is not needed, ha).

Opaque dark brown colour. Aroma is lead by yeasty spicineness and not much else. Flavour is mainly plastic with some backing burnt sugar. Very simplistic and mailed-in. Did Van Steenberge brew this?

Bought at Dép. de la Rive by NH. Dark brown ale with a thick moka head. Light yeasty aroma with light orange peels. In mouth, overcarbonated fizz black liquid, a mix of cigarette butches and coca-cola, the night agfter a party. John Sleeman, you bastard!!!
