A long-time favourite at Bellwoods Brewery, this beer is all about pale foundations and fruity/floral additions. Brewed with blood orange, tangerine, and hibiscus flowers.

What it smells and tastes like: Zesty aromas of orange peel and bright hops, with a light body and juicy fruit flavours. Very drinkable, very refreshing.

Opaque. Bright orange. Low bitterness, decent hop. Orangey for sure. Nice beer.

Loads of tropical fruit, slight funk, and some lovely floral hops. Some solid white wine acidity also. I think this would be a great into to beer for people who are big fans of a fruity, and slightly funk white wine. Medium bitter finish, loads of fresh green hops, and lots of citrus and tropical fruit. Super zesty, and tangy. Great stuff!

Can: Poured a cloudy yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of hoppy floral undertones with some citrusy notes and orangey notes. Taste is a good mix of juicy hops undertones with some citrusy notes courtesy of the blood orange. Body is full with good carbonation. Enjoyable pale ale with plenty of character.

500ml bottle (thx, Chris S.!). Pours a murky rose-ish with a tan head. Aroma is citrusy, grapefruit, some hibiscus notes. Similar taste, low to moderate sour, with noticeable hoppy bitterness. Very refreshing.

500mL bottle, sent from beerhugger (thanks Steve), pours a hazy faded golden with a small white head. Aroma is strong on the hibiscus, with orange and light floral notes in there as well. Flavour is fresh and vibrant, with hibiscus notes upfront, light floral notes and some mineraly biscuity notes. Nice and fresh, with a dominating hibiscus finish. Good beer.

Bottle from the brewery. 5%. It pours a pinkish orange that settles into a deep gold in the glass.  The aroma is a luscious hibiscus and orange with a bitter pine finish. The taste is fruity & floral at first then earthy pine and a soft bitter finish. A really subtle but delicious beer.

Pour golden clear with a pink tone, half a finger of white. Fluffy head. Hops nose, resiny, might be summit which is not a favourite, some soft fruit, and grassy malt. Taste prominently of resin hops with bitterness, light on pallet without tasting watery, little fruit and grassy malt, but overshadowed. Drinkable but not a favourite.

Bottle from the brewery. Very lightly cloudy pale orange-pink with a small white head that slowly fades and leaves spotty lace. Nose is dominated by oranges with light bread and flowers. Lightly sweet intro followed by a bitter and tart citrusy middle exhibiting orange and grapefruit and lemon which carries through to a dry finish. Mouth is a bit lighter than I would like but the active carbonation gives it a creamy feel.

(500mL bottle of the 2014 version) Pours a slightly hazed dark pink-tinged peach with a small white bubbly head and a little lace. Aroma of citrus peel (especially orange), floral, slightly grassy, bit of very "Bellwoods" yeast character. On the palate, begins with a bright and juicy orange and pink grapefuit character and pale malt, just a little sweet, paired with a subtle but distinct floral hibiscus note. Hopping is not strong but makes its presence felt mid-palate, wet grass and lime zest. A bit of grain appearing on some sips in the finish, light hop bitterness, dry, an orange peel/oil note persists long after the beer is swallowed. Body pretty light but carb soft so refreshing without being sharp. Fruit and flowers held well in check, more fruity APA than fruit beer. I think it could even stand more additions, but good in the hot sun.
